Gizmodo has got their hands on the iPhone 4G, which was apparently lost at a bar in Redwood City. It was camouflaged to look like an iPhone 3GS, but it is the real thing because Apple wants it back. There is a new for factor, volume buttons, front-facing camera, and it uses micro-sim cards.
Here's what's new and different:
- A micro-sim card
- Metallic volume buttons and hold buttons
- A Front-facing camera for video conferencing
- A Larger Back Camera with flash
- A Flat back, not curved like on 3G or 3GS
- Larger battery and 3 grams heavier then 3GS
The exterior of this prototype iPhone are a huge leap from the curved and smooth design of past iPhones, but this is a welcome departure. There is no word on a new OS since Gizmodo couldn't get past the iTunes Connect screen. But, Apple seems none to pleased this phone got out.
